View Full Version : Does the station support other Media Servers now ?
Hello,
has anyone tried if the station can use other media servers properly now (without the flaws of the "old" stations")
Thanks & Regards,
Andi
Hi Andi !
What do you mean with "other media servers" ? PC-based UPnP servers or something else ?
And what "flaws of the "old" stations" do you mean" ?
My WAS700 works 100% perfect with TVersity at least so I am not aware of any "flaw" in my "old" station... (?)
Cheers !

Hello,
with flaws I mean that the WAS700 forgets that it was connected to another UPNP server and not a WACS7000 every time the station is switched back on (that was what I found in the 700 Forum - I dont have one yet and this would indeed stop me buying it).
Does it now remember which upnp server it was connected to when switched off?
My UPNP server is a Twonkey Media Server running on a Linksys NLSU2.
Thanks,
Andi
The WAS7000 is slightly improved since it does remember that it was connected to a UPnP server, although not which one. So you will get the list of available UPnP servers on the display when powering up the WAS7000 after being in standby mode.
