Philips send me a DC1000, thank you very much (I filled in the card that was in the box of my WACS7000).
Now I have one problem with it...
I have an IPOD NANO (8GB), and it works fine when I put it in the cradle of the DC1000 connected to the WACS. The only issue is that the volume is very low. I have to set the volume of the WACS to maximum to get a reasonable sound out of it???
When I change the volume on the ipod, nothing happens, it stays low. When I connect the jack directly into the ipod, the volume is much better.
Anyone (streamiumgods and other mere mortals) have an idea??
The DC1000 is a cool gadgety addition to my streamium, but with the volume so low I don't think I'm gonna use it that much :-/

I have a iPod docking station that came with my wacs7000. It works fine with my Video iPod30GB. The volume is as loud as any other AUX devices.
Did you connect the audio cable to the correct AUX-IN port?

Well, there is only 1 aux-in so I'm guessing thats not the issue.
When the ipod nano is in the docking station -> low volume and when you change the volume on the ipod nothing happens.
When I connect the aux-in jack directly into the ipod (where you normally put your headphones), the volume is very good (and when you change the volume on your ipod, the volume really changes).
Its look there is something wrong with the volume control on the docking station itself /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I don't believe there is a volume control on the docking station. The iPod has a fixed audio level on the dock connector that is independent of its volume control. There are two possibilities for your experience:
1. your iPod audio line out is defective: Have you tried using a different docking station and connecting it to some other audio speakers?
2. your new docking station is broken. Try with another iPod
A quick fix is to put your iPod on the dock, and connect the audio to the headphone jack.

lol, that won't work because when I put my nano into the docking station the entry for the audio-jack is hindered...
Like I said, when I connect the audio through the headphone jack everything is A-ok.
When the audio is connected to the docking station (and Ipod nano in docking) the volume is low.
Don't really have a second ipod on hand, but its worth the try.
I'll update thread later on with my findings.
Instead of connecting the Audio Out on the DC1000 to AUX in, try the A/V out on the DC1000 instead (using the same cable).
Cheers !

Tias my man! You are the streamium God!!!
Works like a charm (not very logical to put it in the A/V output, but who cares), thanks.

I also experience same problem but noticed that there is a "Portable" button on the numeric keypad of the 2-way remote control. Pressed that button and then the 2-way remote control can control the volume of iPod on the docking station, plus next track, previous track etc. I didn't use the A/V out but use the 9-pin cable and Red/White to AUX IN of the Center. But once i changed to that 'Portable' mode, i have to re-select Center or Station mode on the remote control in order to use it to control the normal Center or Station function. I hope Philips can make it easier instead of needing to switch to different mode on the remote control. Nevertheless, the iPod can be charged up when parked in the DC1000 and at the sametime played back music from iPod which is convenient for me.
