Hi, does anyone know if the Philips NP1100 Streamium Music Player is compatible with the WACS7500 Music Center? I know that the NP100 will play from any uPnP server, but will the NP1100 have the same functionality as a normal Music Station connected to the WACS7500, will it play the same music when you do a broadcast from the WACS7500 to all connected stations?

Or is it just a similar device like my current SLA5520? Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

True NP1100 is able to connect due to UPNP but there is no broadcast and follow-me mode. Better usability as sla5520 as it uses vTuner application for internetradio connectivity. No streamium management via club philips site.

Thank you for your reply. It's what I already suspected but I just wanted to be sure. Now it's time to wait for Philips to develop a Music Station with a line-out connector at the back to connect a receiver. Only the WACS7500 has a line-out connection, but that's not very convenient when the receiver is in another room. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

There is an older device the WAS5 that will do the trick. This is a small, fully compatible station that will allow you to use the broadcast and follow me functions. Dowside: no FM tuner (or Internet radio for that matter).
