View Full Version : Display in standby
Is there a possibility to turn off the display when the NP1100 is standby?

This is not possible I'm afraid.

Yes, there is a way to turn off the display in STBY mode.
Just push the DIM button when the unit is in STBY.
BTW, this display setting is only applicable to the mode you are in (so you can have one setting in STBY mode and another one in ON mode).

This is of course for the backlight so not for the whole display.
The DIM feature is documented in the manual so you can check more information from there as this was probably what you were looking for and not turning of the display itself.
Thank you for the information but I knew that you can dim the display. But I hoped that I could turn the display off (not only the back light) when I press the stand by button.
Maybe something for the new firmware to include.

I would like the display to STAY off when the sleep timer turns the music off: my wife and I like to play sleep music at night using the sleep timer. We dim the display but when the timer turns off the unit the display comes back on, brightly illuminating our previously dark sleep space. We'd like a firmware update to keep the display off in this situation.
