Hi!

I' using twonky running on a Activy Media server ams150.

Everytime i'm seraching a artist (or song oralbum) I have to go through music/artist/...

Then the List of all artists is shown. To find my favourite artists i use the search button on the remote control. But the np2900 only finds the artist if I have spelled it correctly and completly.
Phill Collins ist only found if i type "Phill Collins".
No results with "Phil" or "collins "

Is there a way to do a wildcard search like "phil" or "*phil*"?
How do you search and find your favourite music?

kind regards,
waeller

Dear Waeller,
following is mentioned in the User Manual.

SEARCH is using the search mechanism as provided by the Server. in your case the AMS150. I did some analysis and this indeed happens. They issue a UPnP search @ the server.

I've tried a query with similar logic as you mention below - I searched for "ella" and it found "Ella and Fitzgerald". Even I change the string to "Ell" it still finds it. Based on this test the unit surely won't need wildcards.

Guess you've to find out what SEARCH algorhym your AMS150 supports.

I guess the reason Philips has chosen this SEARCH @ Server is the fact that it will go always faster than using a search from the device (load list, check, reload list, check ...).

Hi!
Thank you for your answer.

There was a misconfiguration on my ams150 running twonkymedia.
Now after finetuning the configuration it works fine.

kind regards,
