Have you tried to unregister and then re-register your NP2900 on the Philips support page ?

Cheers !

No but should that realy be neded?
The player should be able to detect this by it self in my opinion.
If the product is supossed to be sold to the general public should it be foul proff and consider myself to be a little more experienced then the a ordinary street user. And if a can't use and update the product will a ordernary user be able to do that? I mean they wouldent even find this forum...
They have other intressts than scaning this forum for improvments...

Please get things working, the concept is greate and its just minor adjustments needed, if the right people is put on the task would we se some result soon...

Thanks...

I don't know if it will solve your specific problem.
I'm only repeating what I have seen earlier in this forum that have solved similar problems for other people here.

My NP2x00 units works fine at least, without re-registering them (so far) ;-]

Cheers !

Just what I've been thinking for a while. There are too many glitches and "undocumented features" both with the hardware and with Phillip's site to make Streamium products suitable for the general public.
Like you say most people who have found their way to this forum for help are already pretty computer literate / tech minded. How many others are there that end up dissatisfied returning their Streamium unit to the shop or with a piece of useless hardware gathering dust on a shelf.
Great concept. Poor implementation !

Hi Music Lover,

Everything also depend if you are part of the test program and received a beta test sample or if you have a real production sample you have bought.

Behaviour betweencan be slightly different.

I have purchased my NP2900 in a store so i am not part of any testing group.
I hope the updated Firmware will get released even for me soon.

I just did a new reboot of the NP2900 and this time did the unit discover a new firmware. It have now been updated and i have also the V 5.75S.
So if someone else have the same problem as i just try to rebot the system several times and it will finaly work. I have probably done 5-6 power off rebots.
