Having read about all the problems people are having with their Streamiums when it comes to internet radio, I'm wondering if my website RadioFeeds UK & Ireland can help.

It already provides a useful database of maintained stream links for radio stations in the UK and Ireland to devices such as:
Logitech Squeezeboxes
Reciva Radios
Freecom MusicPals (still testing, but the functionality is there)
Windows Mobile, Symbian, iPhone and Blackberry.

Does the NP2900 (and indeed other Streamium models) offer a way to add custom playlists or podcasts? I'd like to find a way where I would be able to load the stations from my website to your Streamiums.

For the other devices, I provide text feeds that can be parsed and displayed as a station list.

I guess the first question is, is there a tool that allows custom podcasts to be added?

Hmm, what's your website's link ?

Also, I think then NP2900 plays much, much more than older Streamium devices (like the WAC3500). Up to now, the NP2900 behaves rather good in internet radio.

For your PODCAST question ...
Whatever weblink you can sqeeze into the "MY MEDIA" at Club Philips (= the thing where you may register your device and add yourself your own streaming links) should work.

Formats shall be MP3 / WMA / RA8 / AAC

The website is at www.radiofeeds.co.uk
From the sounds of things, Club Philips only takes individual audio links.
Can it also accept podcast xml files?
I don't have a Streamium myself to test.

Anyone got an answer to the above?
I've already got some files prepared to do some testing with.

Vinnie,

I've tried the provided link.

My PC prompts "Feed Error" when just pasting in an Int.Explorer window (WIN XP).
The NP2500 indicates "Station is down".
The NP1100 indicates "Tracks not playable".

Is that link really valid ?

If you load it into Firefox, you can open up the source.
I'm not sure why it doesn't work in IE.
It doesn't open as an XML should as the server isn't set up to deliver ASPs with such a MIME.
Also make sure you're opening up the full address.

How are you getting on with this?
